Oakdale Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1923.
The Oakdale Country Club Golf Course is a beautiful and challenging 9 hole course, located in the mountains of Western Maine. The course was established in 1923 by the employees of the local paper mill with a membership exceeding 400. Today’s membership totals around 200 which means there is virtually no waiting time to tee off.
Oakdale Country Club is a semi-private golf course and although there is a membership they encourage daily play (membership for a day).
Oakdale also opens their course to the High School golf team for their practice and weekly matches, as well as giving out yearly scholarships to deserving seniors from the local schools.
The Oakdale Country Club golf course plays to a 9-hole par-36 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,044 yards. The 9-hole course rating is 34.4 with a slope rating of 119. Additional tees allow the 9 holes to be played a second time for an 18-hole round of golf.
